September 21st and 22nd the Annual American Gold Cup was in full swing. This is one of the nations premier showjumping competitions with top money prizes on the line. Ainjel Giannamore and Rockin' Horses Timber were back for a second straight year on full sponsorship to compete against the nations best amateur horse/rider combinations. Ainjel and Timber put in 3 quality rides on the weekend to win a second place ribbon and prize money as well as two other top ribbons against a very tough field of competitors. Ainjel was also featured in a major Cleveland newspaper covering the event!. Awesome job Ainjel!! We know things did not turn out as you had hoped but you did not give any excuses just congratulations to the winner, knowing things may be different next time ;-) And thats a big part of being a Champion. We couldn't be more proud of you!

September 15 & 16th was the Annual Pennsylvania Jumpers Association (PJA)  year end Classic Horse Show.  With over $40,000 in total prize money and money offered in every class you better come prepared .This show is held at the historic Quentin Riding Club near Harrisburg. This Facility is one of the first in the U.S. and upholds the rich tradition of American Showjumping.  In fact you know you are at a world class horse show when the first class of the show and the first class for all of our riders has 57 horse rider combinations ready to compete.  This class was the 3'6" Jumper Welcome Stakes  and was open to amateur and professional riders.  Rockin' Horse came out strong with Brittni and Ainjel taking 6th and 7th place honors against the huge field. Next Brit went on to take another top ribbon in the Hopeful Jumper Welcome Stake aboard Chloe. Day one ended with Ainjel winning the Ch/Adult Welcome Stake aboard timber and also took 5th place honors on Stella. Great Start.

Day 2 started with Ainjel and Timber winning the 3'6" Jumper Classic once again against huge class numbers and then going on to pilot Stella to a 4th place finish. In Ainjels final class of the show she rode Timber to a terrific 2nd  place finish in the Ch/Adult Classic. Bringing the show to a close was Brittni, riding Chloe and Sabrina to two top ribbons in the Hopeful Jumper Classic, one rail away from victory. Awesome job.

We know the pressure and anxiety that comes with showing, especially at a show of this caliber,  you girls rose above it and seized the moment, never letting yourselves be held back by the possibility of failure and that is what Champions are made of. Great Job. We are very proud of you!!

August 10, 11 & 12th  Kim and the Rockin' Horse Crew were off to the Annual Western Pennsylvania Professional Horseman's Association, "A" Rated,  Horse Show. The show started off for the barn with Pam and Tommy Boy taking a 4th place ribbon in the Training Jumper Division. Ainjel and Timber got their show started with a terrific first and second place finish in the 3'6" Ch/Adult Division classes. Stella at only her second show with Ainjel won very respectable 4th and 5th place ribbons in the same classes. Great start!

Day 2 started off with Pam and Tommy Boy adding two more top ribbons to their very successful weekend. They worked their way through tough courses and came out with more experience and solid rounds. Brittni was next finally getting started in the 3' Pony Jumper Division. Brittni rode Chloe to 2nd and 4th place ribbons. Sabrina followed up with an awesome first place finish and added a 2nd. This quick pony loves to give it her all.

Day 2 also featured the Calcutta Auction followed by the Gamblers Choice. This event is always the most watched class at the W.Pa.P.H.A. show and this year was no different. Although the atmosphere was not as grand as years past the 27 horse rider teams roughed the footing and gave it their all to compete for this prestigious title. First for RHS was Brittni and Sabrina (the newest addition to our lesson program). Sabrina came out strong but unfortunately got caught up in an oxer and took a fall. Sabrina was fine and Brittni with only a bruised ego brushed off the dirt and knew there were better things to come.  Next Pam and Tommy Boy entered the ring and put in tight turns and a good effort to come away with a respectable score and the  Joker Jump (a final obstacle worth twice the point of any other jump) stayed in the cups! Ainjel and big Stella  knocked a fence and came away with an otherwise nice round,  Stella also left the Joker Standing!  Finally Ainjel again prepared for the ring, this time on the defending Champion the last two years running, Rockin' Horses' Timber. After Dad made a last minute adjustment to her course plan, Ainjel entered the ring determined to defend. And with the deck stacked against her as the leading riders all had the benefit of jumping  lower fence heights, Ainjel utilized tight turns and quick lines to take the lead heading to the Joker Jump. With the pressure on  Ainjel grinned, Timber snorted, and one perfect spot later the big Joker Jump was up and Rockin' Horse rode away with a THIRD consecutive title and first place money. WOW!!  And the Rockin' Horse crowd let out what I am sure was the biggest ovation that horse show had seen. Way to represent girls!!!

And after all that there was still day 3. Pam again got things started finishing the Training Division with another top ribbon. Brittni and Chloe finished up their Pony Jumper Division with a 4th place finish. Next Brit and Sabrina finished things off with another 2nd and clinched the Pony Jumper Championship!!  Ainjel and her two horses followed up in the NAL Classic. Timber put in the fastest round but unfortunately brought down a rail and finished in 4th place. Stella finished up with 5th place awards.  The show wrapped  up with the WPaPHA Mini Prix. Brittni was in the ring to represent the stable with Chloe and Sabrina. Chloe put in a nice round to take 5th place prize money and Sabrina was the last to go. With a quick round posted for the leader, Brit negotiated the tough course with the new pony and went to the jump off with confidence. A few seconds later it was all over and Brittni and Sabrina were the 2007 Mini Prix Champions. What a show!! Keep up the great work!
