Carlee navigated her way through the courses for a good showing against a large field. Next to go after 2 years away from the Jumper ring, Aszia and her horse Chancellor proved that jumpers is not always about speed as her Appy utilized tight efficient turns and quick acceleration to take a Division Championship. And finally, after a long absence from the jumper ring, the return of the Moemeister! Molly and Apache have been working hard and the improvement paid off with a Reserve Championship. With their much improved turns and desire to win Molly and Apache rode quick smooth courses on their way to victory. October 1st the Barn took a break from showing to participate in the RHWPA annual benefit Ride-A-Thon. This 12 mile trail ride raises money for the "Riding for the Handicapped" therapeutic riding program. And when we put our minds to something we really go all out. 16 horse/rider combinations signed up and collected sponsorships to raise a great deal of money for this worthy cause. Abby was the leader raising more than $500 with the help of Ken & Heather!! WOW!! But we want to thank everyone of you that put in the miles to have fun with the largest group this year! Abby, Ken, Mia, Emily, Brittni, Breanne, Ainjel, Molly, Lexzy, Kim, Adam, Carlee, Carol, Terry, Aszia & Melissa. And of course our wonderful horses. Also thanks to Rich, Lori, Rick & Terry for donating their time hauling horses. We couldn't have done it without you! |

September 15th & 16th Ainjel Giannamore and Rockin' Horses Timber on a full sponsorship from Leasing Management and L&S Towing, were off to the American Gold Cup. Considered to be one of the premier jumping events in America, the Gold Cup features top riders from all over the world. 16 year old Ainjel watched with respect and admiration as the top Horse/Rider combinations navigated course levels that she one day hopes to achieve. Then it was Ainjels turn. The 3'6" $4500 Ch/Adult Jumper section started off with our rider overcoming the nerves of such a prestigious class and winning the blue ribbon with a 4 second victory over a class open to all junior riders. Along with 1st place money Ainjel received a Gold Cup Saddle Pad and Cap. Day 2 saw another quality effort come up a bit short as two rails came down. It happens to even the best horses. It Takes a great amount of Skill, Practice, Nerves and so much more to compete at an event like this and we are very proud of you Ainjel! Great Job! Way to Represent!! |

August 5th & 6th was a HOT weekend at the Willows for the WPaPHA annual A rated horse show. With Fridays classes moved to Saturday things started things off for Rockin' Horse with Ainjel Giannamore and Timber taking a 1st & 2nd in the 3'6'' Childrens /Adult division. Brittni Poland and Chloe showed up for the Pony Jumper Division but the classes were unfortunately cancelled. However Brittni Pollard decided to put her pony Chleo up against the big horses in the Training Jumper Division. With a quality ride Brittini rode for a ribbon against a large class. Of course the big event of the weekend happens on Saturdays at 5:00. The annual calcutta auction followed by the Gamblers choice. With new highs in the calcutta bidding this year it was capped off by the record $625 bid for last years winner Rockin' Horses Timber. This years class was open to 28 amateur and professional horse/rider combinations. Brittni Pollard and her pony Chleo started things off for RHS with a terrific round. Brittni was one rail way from a winning score as she successfully jumped the "joker" and walked away with an 8th place finish. But the WPaPHA had the good sense to save the best for last, and with the reigns in her hands this year, the final competitor Ainjel Giannamore would not disappoint the high bidder. Ainjel rode Timber to the top score and $1200 for the top bidder. The WPaPHA followed it up with one of the best exhibitor dinners you will find anywhere. On the final day of the show brittni started off riding to another ribbon in Training and Ainjel rode for 4th place in the $1500 amateur classic. The weekend was capped off in the Jumper Divisions final event. Brittni Poland showed up and rode to a 1st place Ribbon & championship in the Mini Prix. Against a class of more than 30 horses. Brittni navigated Rockin' Horses Chloe to a huge upset victory. Great Job girls!!! You made it fun!!! |
