DAWGS SHOW HEART OF
CHAMPIONS AT 3 RIVERS CUP
The Butler Valley Dawgs came into the Three
Rivers Cup Tournament ready and willing to take on all
challengers and that's exactly what they did. Facing strong
competition and battling until the Refs refused to drop another
puck due to the physicality of the final game, the Dawgs put it
all on the ice and emphasized the "Never Quit" part of the team
motto. The highlights of the weekend included the Butler Valley
Crew taking down division foes and possible playoff opponents,
the Arctic Foxes. The Dawgs jumped on them early and rolled to a
4-1 final score behind 2 goals by the Asian Assassin as
well as tallies from Moose Norris and Jonathan "Wherever You
Need Me" Kim. Strong Defense and solid Goaltending sealed the
deal. Game three afforded the Dawgs valuable experience against
quick, strong skating and very physical players. The Dawgs
battled hit for hit against the Buffalo Squad and skated with
intent until the very end. Josh put up the only goal against
Buffalo in the tournament and in the game the Dawgs proved that
you can not only skate like champions in victory but can also skate like champions in
defeat. Another tremendous effort by a tremendous group of kids.
Proud to Be a Dawg!!
